Admission
One admission form brings a new student in — name, DOB, gender, photo, category and more — and the system assigns the next admission number automatically and in sequence, so two clerks can never grab the same one.
The first time real people move into the school. Admit a student once, then keep everything known about them — profile, guardians and parent login, and secure documents — and move them up a class each year, with clean year-by-year history that never overwrites last year's class and marks.
One admission form creates a student's permanent record and places them into a class and section for the current year. From there the profile follows the child through every year they're at the school, holding their details, background, identification, addresses, guardians and documents in one place.
The key idea is the split between a student — the person, admitted once — and an enrollment — that person in a particular year and class. One student builds up one enrollment per year, like rings in a tree, and attendance, exam marks and fees all attach to the enrollment, so every past year stays intact.

The complete, lasting record of a student: personal details, background, identification, a permanent and current address, and any custom fields the school chose to collect. It follows the student every year they're enrolled.
A student can have several guardians, each with contact details and flags for primary contact, emergency contact and pickup authorised. A linked parent login lets a parent follow their child's attendance, marks and fees — and one login can cover several children.
A secure vault for the birth certificate, Aadhaar, previous-school TC, marksheets, photo and medical records. Files are kept in private storage, served only to authorised staff, and each can be marked verified with who checked it and when.
The year-aware record: this student, in this year, in this section, with this roll number and status. It's the single most referenced record in the product — attendance, exam marks and fees all attach to it, not to the bare student.
At year-end the promotion engine moves a whole section up in one action — promote, detain, transfer or graduate each student. Every run is recorded as a batch with a clear audit, and each new enrollment remembers the one it came from.
The office fills one admission form. The system assigns the next admission number and creates the permanent student record.
The student is placed into a class and section for the active year, with a roll number and an Active status — the record everything else attaches to.
Attendance, exam marks and fees all attach to that enrollment, so each year keeps its own clean history.
The promotion engine moves the section up in one batch. Each promoted student gets a fresh enrollment for the new year, linked back to the old one.
Schools handle a lot of sensitive paperwork. Keeping every certificate in one secure place — in private storage, with a verified tick showing who checked it and when — is a concrete, everyday benefit. And because each year is a separate enrollment, the system always knows a student's current class while keeping every past year intact.
On the roadmap: the promotion logic exists on the backend; a polished promotion screen is on the near-term plan. Not fully live yet.
